And so it begins.
2 weeks ago this pencil skirt fit just fine over the growing belly.
But this time around was a different story, it was a bit of a struggle to get on – a little tight around the waist area.
Which just confirms there’s definitely something growing beneath it all.
I’m doing my best to hold off on going crazy and buying all the maternity clothes.
While I’ve definitely made a few purchases (like getting some maternity jeans which, btw, are a GODSEND! See how I styled a pair here), I’m trying to make my current pieces stretch as long as I can.
Though that’s already proving to be difficult, I’m planning to figure it out as it comes – pretty much my motto for the remaining 6 months.
What I can say is that my maternity style is definitely going to be about comfort first.
I know bodycon & figure forming dresses are all the rage right now when it comes to maternity style thanks to Bey and Kim K.
But as it stands, it’s just not my cup of tea.
If anything, I’d rather take a page or two out of the French playbook of casual chic style.
Still very comfy for tinkering around the house, but put together enough that I can also step out the house without feeling like I need to change.
Comfy. Casual. Chic.
My other motto for the next 6 months.
