As we dive deeper into summer I’m starting to feel the cravings for a sunny beach getaway.
Somewhere I can lay in the sun, in all my big belly glory, and sip virgin mojitos all day.
Mostly because, true to it’s reputation, London has been lacking in the sunshine.
So when it peeked out from behind the gray clouds for a microsecond I immediately thought I should dress for the occasion.
Enter this botanical print dress (here’s one that’s similar that I’d also add to my wardrobe 😉 ).
I actually picked this up on a whim last year, thinking I’d wear it on our last sunny getaway before the cold swept in.
Naturally I forgot, but ended up tucking it away for next season, which ended up being very prudent of me as botanical prints and tropical vibes seem to be everywhere this year.
To which I immediately think of Miranda Priestly with her ‘Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.’
Only it’s ‘Tropics? For Summer? How original.’
But it’s true.
Botanical prints, from tropical florals to frothy palms, are – for lack of a better term – so hot right now.
And I can’t say that I mind.
And while it should come as no surprise that botanical prints are popping up everywhere – it’s how that’s got me excited for the trend.
So whether you’re all for major flower power or prefer more subtle florals and fauna, this year is the perfect time to flaunt these prints in a whole new way.
Check out some of my favorite bodacious botanical prints in the most unexpected places to create your own botanical bonanza this summer – yeah that’s right I said bonanza, get on my level. 💁 😂
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Are you down with the new twist on florals?
