What I’m wearing for a sunny little getaway | Summer Cruise Style Kit

So my bachelorette cruise is this week and I couldn’t be more excited!

Sunny days, endless tropical cocktails, and a few of my favorite girlfriends all add up to what’s sure to be some good times. πŸ™‚

This is my first cruise and true to form I’ve been obsessing over what to pack.

A while back in this post, I discussed in detail about how I plan out my travel wardrobe every time I have to take a trip.

It’s quick, easy, and ensures you won’t overpack byΒ throwing handfuls of clothes into your luggage and bringing items you don’t need.

The most important step to packing for a trip is organizing your travel plans. You have to know where you’re going and what you’re doing to ensure you bring the right clothing.

After thatΒ you build a basic wardrobe structure based on those plans, and finally planΒ outfits for each day based on what you’re doing throughout the day. (Again, check out this post to see a detailed breakdown of each step)

The girls and I are going on a 4 day cruise through the Western Caribbean leaving from Miami thenΒ stopping inΒ Key West and Cozumel, Mexico.

Like I said – it’s gonna be good times.

With it being my first cruise, the nerdy perfectionist in me has been doing all sorts of research on what to expect and {most importantly) what to pack!

Based on what I’ve found, cruise style can run anywhere from totally laid-back to busting out your fancy pants (and dresses) every night.

My ideal cruise wardrobe consists of classic stripes and floral prints, bold colors, and soft neutrals.

Take a look below for a peek at my summer cruise style and then let me know – what you would add or take away for this little summer getaway.
